During the process of creating our yarns – after the carding process and before spinning – we have an unspun stranded product that begins to show the qualities of the fibres. This stage is known as slubbing.
Slubbing can be used for a whole range of creative activities including hand-spinning, felting and knitting.
When we spin a new yarn, we leave just a few cakes of slubbing aside, creating small and exclusive batches, so we sell them by colour and weight-bracket.
