Inspired by traditional Eriskay gansays, the design for this cosy hat is rooted in the seafaring traditions of this maritime community. Embodying both fishing and spiritual symbolism, the pattern features the Fishing Net & Tree of Life motifs.
Taking inspiration from the same traditional Eriskay gansey-inspired motifs as our EIRISGEIGH cowl, this pattern offers two sizing and two styling options, to be worked as a cosy beanie hat to protect your ears from the wild, Hebridean gales, or a shorter melon cap for those who prefer an edgier, more urban style to their headwear.
Shown here in Sian dk (dark grey) and Solas dk (white), but any of our DK range would be suitable for this pattern.
